The LS4 TB is about 7mm larger than the LSJ one and gives you more power and torque on the bottom end and a slight bit more boost at low RPMs. It doesn't really do much once you get in the higher RPM levels. The reason why the ride is 'rough' on the LS4 TB is primarily due to it having a very quick throttle response.

The LS engine harness is configured much differently and the intake manifold is exposed and uses valve covers to dress up the engine. My engines / harnesses are ALL Vortec Truck, therefore when you put a car intake on a Vortec you are left with an excessive amount of wiring on top of the intake manifold.

For power, the LS6 is the best intake choice as it is known/tested to produce more HP and Torque than the LS2 intake which came later. The LS1 and LS6 manifold use very tall LS1 sized injectors whereas the LS2 manifold uses a shorter injector.

The LS4 fuel rail doesn't fit the LS6 intake, and it is off by almost 1/2". So I got good at getting the injectors in and out and spent the rest of Saturday and most of Sunday massaging the LS4 fuel rail to get it to fit.

Our headers do not use gaskets, and using gaskets will most likely generate sealing problems. On Ford Cleveland (and Aussie heads---still based on the Cleveland design-) the 2V heads require the copper adapters and then a thin, 1/8" wide bead of silicone around each port that needs to be applied to both the cylinder heads and header flange when using the copper adapters.
